Design and Function
Uniform wall thickness is recommended to be designed into the extrusion due to the fluid nature of the plastic. This is necessary to prevent bowing and warping. Uneven wall thickness can result in additional modifications being done during the tooling manufacturing process. This may result in higher tooling costs.
Custom Profile/Tubing Requirements
Florida Central Extrusion is capable of producing a custom tube extrusion to a maximum size of five inches, and custom profile extrusion to a maximum of eight inches. We do not have a minimum size extrusion requirement.
Recommended Material
There are many varieties of rigid, semi-rigid, and flexible PVC materials on the market. Choosing the right material can be a daunting task, but our years of experience will help simplify the material choice during the design process.
Developing Prototype
Once the design process is completed and the tooling is developed, a prototype will be completed. The prototype will the be tested to ensure design functionality.
